POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preparation and dispensation of pharmaceutical agents in the Hospital setting. May be required to supervise student interns.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
(1) PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
Desired:
(1) Completion of internship in hospital pharmacy and/or previous hospital Pharmacist experience.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
(1) California State registration as a pharmacist
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
This position utilizes both fine and large motor skills for operation of related business equipment such as computers &, fax machines and for the occasional lifting of medication related supply items weighing from 1 - 20 lbs., etc. The employee may be required to stand for long periods. Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The majority of work is performed indoors with protection from weather conditions.
PATIENTS SERVED:
This position is responsible for following age groups of patients: Neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Includes, but not limited to: Medication dosages.
