Title: Clinical Nutrition Supervisor
Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, delivers, directs, and evaluates in-patient nutrition services. Assumes responsibility for operation of the Food & Nutrition department in the absence of the Director.

     

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

(1) B.S. in Nutrition from an American Dietetic Assoc accredited program.

Desired:

(1) Previous experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care setting.

 

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

(1) ADA Registered Dietitian.

 

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

 

PHYSICAL JOB CLASSIFICATION:

Light work

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Communication is an essential skill as the RD works with both patients and staff. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

May be exposed to: Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Bodily Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, Vibrations. Majority of the work is performed indoors protected from the elements

 

AGE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of differences in nutritional requirements across the lifespan.
