POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates day to day operation of the breast care center, especially in relationship with imaging department and surgery.  Also collaborates with the Clinical RN specialist and Outreach Coordinator for the breast program components. 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

(1) Minimum 3 years board diagnostic experience, (4) Knowledge of MQSA with accreditation by the American College of Radiology. 

Desired:

(1) Two-three years supervisory experience.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

(1) California CRT, (2) Mammography certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must have working knowledge of all mammography requirements/equipment.  Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires some heavy lifting.  Must be able to stand and walk without assistance for long periods during the workday.  Requires full use of all large and small muscle groups for frequent bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and grasping.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Exposure to radiation and hazardous chemicals.  May be exposed to: Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Body Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, and Vibrations.  Majority of work is performed indoors, protected from the elements but not necessarily from temperature extremes.

PATIENTS SERVED:

This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients:  Adolescent, adult, and geriatric.  Includes, but not limited to:  Knowledge of correct imaging techniques and procedures appropriate to age and condition of patients.
