Department: Sleep Lab

POSITION SUMMARY:

Monitors Sleep Studies and provides therapy according to established standards, polices and procedures.  Assists in scoring sleep studies as required. Cleans and maintains sleep disorder equipment.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in sleep disorder monitoring an d scoring.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS-C
• ACLS within 90 days of hire

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. 
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
