POSITION SUMMARY:

Keeps assigned Hospital areas clean and ready for use.

     

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

(1) High school diploma or equivalent, (2) One year preferred previous experience or training as a housekeeper in a hospital setting,

 

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

 

PHYSICAL JOB CLASSIFICATION:

Medium work

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand and walk without assistance for long periods. Uses all muscle groups for frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing. Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear and speak.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Performs the majority of work indoors protected from the elements.  May be exposed to: Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Bodily Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, and Vibrations.
