POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy in collaboration with a multi disciplinary treatment team.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
(1) B.S. in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
(1) California State licensure as a Physical Therapist, (2) BLS-C.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged standing/walking. Uses all muscle groups for continuous lifting, pushing, pulling and transfer of patients. Requires manual dexterity and mobility. Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Performs the majority of work indoors protected from the elements. May be exposed to: Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Bodily Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, and Vibrations.
PATIENTS SERVED:
This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Includes, but not limited to: physical growth and development differences.
