The Regional Cancer Center at Doctors Medical Center (DMC) is the only East Bay hospital to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS). A total of less than 10 percent of the hospitals in the US surveyed by the CoC earned this prestigious award. DMC is one of only two in Northern California, one of only seven in the State and one of only 54 hospitals in the nation to receive the special honor.
