The DMC Service League is currently accepting applications for its Carol Welsh Memorial Scholarships. Up to seven $1000 scholarships will be awarded in 2010. Since 1958, the DMC Service League has been providing financial assistance to students pursuing higher education leading to careers in a field related to healthcare, including nursing and medicine. Applicants must be from West Contra Costa County and must have completed the first year of a healthcare program at any accredited university or college; or be an incoming or current nursing or medical student.
