Cancer Surgeries
Surgery is commonly used in the treatment of cancer. It often is considered the primary form of treatment and/or is used in conjunction with chemotherapy and radiation. Surgery can be used for diagnosing and/or staging of the cancer (determining how advanced the cancer is). Advancements in surgical procedures have lead to the development of minimally invasive surgeries and improved outcomes.
The DMC Regional Cancer Center works in conjunction with many surgeons who specialize in the treatment of cancer.
