J.C. Robinson, M.D. - The Man Behind The Name
He was described as the epitome of what a doctor should be ... an incredibly compassionate physician and man. For more than 33 years, Julius Caesar Robinson, M.D., helped shape not only our hospital, but our entire community. He was a tireless humanitarian who served on community boards, provided care at a local clinic and established a scholarship fund.
Dr Robinson was actively involved in the planning of our cancer center, and when he was diagnosed with cancer he recieved treatment at our hospital. As a patient and as a physician, he understood the importance of the cancer services that the new center would provide. Through it all, he reinforced that the love and compassion we show each other can do as much for healing the soul as the modern technology that heals the body.
In 1994, cancer claimed the life of the man know by friends and colleagues simply as J.C. He will be remembered fondly for his contributions to the community and to Doctors Medical Center. In recognition of his lifework we dedicate the J.D. Robinson, M.D. Regional Cancer Center.
