Radiation Oncology Services (Brachytherapy/Mammosite)

The Radiation Oncology Department provides cancer therapy on both an elective and emergent basis using up-to-date technology in radiation oncology.  Our modern equipment and warm and caring staff provide patients with high quality radiation therapy.  The department boasts a diverse, highly qualified and experienced team of  healthcare professionals.  WIth a linear accelerator, high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatment and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT - coming soon), our Regional Cancer Center is only one of ten hospitals in the nation to provide all forms of breast cancer treatment, including breast radiation in as short as 5 days.  Treatments are customized to fit the individual needs of the patient with the goal of providing optimal teatment.
