Choose Doctors Medical Center or the DMC Outpatient Center as a destination address from the drop down menu below.

 

Public Transportation

Public transportation access is available through AC Transit lines 72 and 72R. Additional transportation options are also available through the Richmond Free Circular Bus Program, Easy-Go and East Bay Paratransit/Dial-A-Ride.

 

Entrance and Parking

The main public entrance to Doctors Medical Center is located facing Vale Road (directly in front of our helipad.) Unless visiting our Emergency Department, all patients and visitors must enter the hospital through this entrance.
 
All patients and visitors must check-in with our Security staff in the main lobby or at our Emergency Department entrance.

 

Free, unmetered parking is available to patients and visitors in the designated lots surrounding the hospital.  Additional free parking is located on Vale Road with some exceptions for street cleaning days.  

 

Visiting Hours

Doctors Medical Center welcomes visitors and we recognize they are important part of the healing process. Visitors are asked to observe the visiting hours posted in each department.

Visiting the Cancer Center

The J. C. Robinson, M.D. Regional Cancer Center at Doctors Medical Center is located behind the main hospital. The Cancer Center’s main entrance and free parking are located at the rear of the hospital. Visitors arriving by car should drive past the Emergency Department entrance and follow signs to the Cancer Center.

Visiting our Hyperbaric Medicine / HBO (Burn, Wound & Oxygen Treatment)  Department

Our Hyperbaric Medicine Department is open, by appointment only, Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

 

Visitors should first arrive to our main lobby and check-in with our Security staff who can assist you with directions to the department.

 

Should you encounter any issues upon your arrival, please call the Hyperbaric Medicine Department at (510) 970-5672 and staff will be happy to assist you.

Visiting the Wound Clinic

Our Wound Clinic is open, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to Noon and 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM. On Saturdays, the Clinic is also open 8:30 AM to Noon, by appointment only.  

 

Visitors should first arrive to our main lobby and check-in with our Security staff who can assist you with directions to the department.

Visiting the Sleep Disorders Center

Our Sleep Disorders Clinic is open, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4:30 PM.

Visitors should first arrive to our main lobby and check-in with our Security staff who can assist you with directions to the department.

 

Special Instructions for Sleep Study Patients

Visitors arriving in the evening for a sleep study appointment must arrive by 7:30 PM to our hospital’s main lobby and check in with our Security staff.  To reach an after-hours sleep specialist, please call the Clinic’s main number, (510) 970-5718, and dial 3 when prompted.

Visiting the Outpatient Center

 

NOTICE OF CLOSURE

 

Please be advised that the DMC programs at Towne Center will close effective September 1, 2014.

This includes:   lab, imaging, occupational therapy, physical therapy and cardiac rehab.

The following services will be transitioning from the Outpatient Center, back to the main hospital: Diabetes/Nutrition, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Imaging and Laboratory Services.

This closure does NOT apply to Alliance Medical Associates
