Multidisciplinary Tumor Board

Patients and their loved ones are invited to participate in their case review.

We believe patient-centered care improves communication and initiation of treatment, and this ultimately improves long-term results.

Cancer patients receiving care at the J.C. Robinson Cancer Center and their primary care physicians can have their cases reviewed by a panel of medical specialists and receive timely treatment recommendations.

Our tumor board meets weekly and includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, oncology nutritionists and social workers. These specialists present patient cases and pool their expertise to develop a multidisciplinary care plan.

Patients and family members have the opportunity to request that their case be presented to our Tumor Board and attend the presentation to hear the recommendations in real-time.

Attending a Tumor Board meeting

The Tumor Board meets every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Patients and their loved ones who are interested in attending must make arrangements in advance.

All Doctors Medical Center staff physicians can arrange to have a patient's case presented at our Tumor Board. Please speak to your physician about having your case presented.
